About the 2020 Final Four Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Final Four Volunteer Program. We asked for your help in representing Atlanta and you delivered. All volunteer shifts and the volunteer waitlist are now full. Although shifts are filled, we still want you to be a part of the all the action during Final Four weekend. Sign up to receive exclusive updates and information. VOLUNTEER PORTAL LOGIN
- Must be at least 18 years old at time of application.
- Must complete and pass a background check.
- Must attend one (1) volunteer training.
- Must complete three (3), four-hour shifts between April 3-7, 2020.
- NOTE: All courtesy car volunteer drivers must be at least 25 years of age and provide their motor vehicle record.
WHY DOES THE 2020 NCAA FINAL FOUR NEED VOLUNTEERS?
The Atlanta Basketball Host Committee and the NCAA are in need of an estimated 2,000 volunteer to successfully host the 2020 NCAA Final Four and the related ancillary events. Through each interaction and touchpoint, volunteers make a tremendous impression on the fan and visitor experience.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER?
- Complete the registration form
- Select a volunteer training option
- Select three (3) volunteer shifts
- Complete and pass the background check
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT FOR VOLUNTEERS?
Volunteers are required to attend one (1) 3-hour volunteer training on March 16, 2020 or March 21, 2020. Volunteers are also required to complete a minimum of three (3) volunteer shifts during the week of the Final Four. Most volunteer shifts are 4 hours in length. Volunteer shifts take place April 1-7, with most shifts taking place April 3-6.

WHAT VOLUNTEER ROLES ARE AVAILABLE?

WILL VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE UNIFORMS?
Yes, each volunteer will receive an NCAA 2020 Final Four volunteer uniform. The uniform will include a Final Four branded polo, hat, clear drawstring bag, lanyard and handbook.
WILL PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED FOR VOLUNTEERS?
Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation and parking.
WILL LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS BE PROVIDED FOR OUT-OF-TOWN VOLUNTEERS?
Volunteers will be responsible for their own hotel accommodations.
ARE THERE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INSIDE MERCEDES-BENZ STADIUM?
There are no volunteer opportunities inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

WHAT IS THE VOLUNTEER TIMELINE?
- November 2019 Volunteer Registration Opens
- March 16, 2020 Volunteer Training (Option 1)
- March 21, 2020 Volunteer Training (Option 2)
- April 1-7, 2020 Volunteer Shifts
- April 4, 2020 Final Four (National Semifinal Games)
- April 5, 2020 DII and DII Men’s Basketball Championships (Palm Sunday)
- April 6, 2020 Final Four (National Championship Game)
- May 2020 Volunteer Appreciation Event (must complete three (3) shifts)
Airport volunteers will greet visiting fans and assist with navigating Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest airport.
Volunteers will serve from the Courtesy Car Office and drive rental cars for various special guests as assigned and needed. Volunteers will be required to submit their driving record, be proficient and safe drivers. Courtesy car drivers should also be familiar with the greater Atlanta area.
ATL Street Team
Volunteers will be in the heart of the action in downtown Atlanta and will assist with answering questions, providing directions and distributing clear bags.
Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One – Event Prep
Volunteers will be inflating basketballs that will be used at Fan Fest. This role will take place a week prior to Fan Fest opening.
Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One- Host and Greeter
Volunteers will be answering questions, giving directions, assisting with purchasing tickets, provide crowd and line management and clear bag distribution.
Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One – Programming and General Support
Volunteers will be assisting with entry, monitoring fans for waiver wristbands, directing participants to the waiver stations and filling in other roles as needed.
Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One – Waivers and Info
Volunteers main role will be to operate waiver kiosks. Other duties include operating information areas, assisting with staff office set-up and breakdown, and providing staffing support to the volunteer office.
NCAA Final Four Dribble presented by Buick
Volunteers will assist with registration, ball distribution, activations and cheering on the dribblers throughout the course.
Located throughout designated Downtown and Midtown hotels, volunteers will be providing fans with clear bags and event information.
March Madness Music Fest – Host and Greeter
Volunteers will welcome event attendees outside of Centennial Olympic Park and answer any questions fans may have. Volunteers will also help facilitate the lines and deliver verbal instruction on how to prepare bags for security checks. Note: This is a rain-or-shine, outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. Rain ponchos will be provided.
March Madness Music Fest – Info Booth
Information Booth volunteers will field general event questions from attendees and will be equipped with event fact sheets and informational packets. Volunteers will also assist with lost and found items and potentially lost parents or children. Note: This is a rain-or-shine, outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. Rain ponchos will be provided.
March Madness Music Fest – Team Coalition
TEAM Coalition is a non-profit alliance of professional and collegiate sports organizations , working together to promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sports and entertainment facilities. Responsibilities include assisting with the photo activation, providing information on alcohol awareness, and other various tasks. Note: This is a rain-or-shine, outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. Rain ponchos will be provided.
March Madness Music Fest – Water Station Volunteer
Water Stations are a critical part in any festival, keeping guests hydrated. Water stations will be scattered throughout the park. Note: This is a rain-or-shine, outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. Rain ponchos will be provided.
Volunteers will assist transportation staff with media shuttle logistics moving working media from the media hotels to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Responsibilities include directing guests, loading buses and various other operational needs.
Sixth Man Squad
This group of volunteers will serve as alternates for Courtesy Cars, Fan Fest, Information Centers, March Madness Music Fest, ATL Street Team and the Volunteer HQ.
The Volunteer Headquarters will be the central hub of all volunteer activity. This is where most of the volunteers will check in for their shift, meet with their Point Guards and deploy to their location. The Volunteer HQ will also be the home to the volunteer hotline and Sixth Man Squad.
