The NCAA® and the 2020 Atlanta Basketball Host Committee are committed to leaving a positive and lasting impact across metro Atlanta. The Fan Jam will bring this mission to life and amplify our “something for everyone” message by brining fun basketball-themed experiences to fans of all ages at events both large and small through a series of grassroots, interactive, “pop-up events”. Depending on the event, Fan Jam presence may include the colorfully wrapped truck or Final Four-branded tent space.

At Fan Jam tour stops, fans can learn more about Final Four initiatives, practice their shot, take a selfie with the National Championship trophy, score giveaways, enter a sweepstakes to win tickets to the 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four and more. Select event may feature a reading corner, Sport Court, gaming corner, youth clinics and/or special guest appearances.

Are you interested in hosting a Fan Jam activation near you? Contact Candace Mitchell to learn more.

The Year of Basketball (TYOB) is a community initiative designed to elevate basketball’s profile in Atlanta culminating with the crowning of the NCAA’s Division I, II- and III-men’s basketball champion in April 2020.

As part of The Year of Basketball initiative, the ABHC and supporters will participate in local events that celebrate basketball and promote academic achievement, workforce preparedness and Atlanta’s cutting-edge culture.  Basketball players and fans from the Hawks to local high school and collegiate teams to anyone who likes to shoot hoops at their community court will have a chance to celebrate the sport all year long leading up to April 3-6, 2020, when Atlanta will host the three college basketball championships.

TYOB Ambassador, Grant Hill

The Year of Basketball Ambassador

We’re excited to have Grant Hill, two-time NCAA Final Four Champion and current member of the NCAA Governing Board of Directors and Atlanta Hawks Board of Directors, as the official Year of Basketball Ambassador. Hill was the 1994 ACC Player of the Year and a two-time NCAA All-American while playing at Duke.

As a way to interact with fans and build awareness in the community, the “TYOB” mascot was created. Fans can expect to see TYOB at select events across Metro Atlanta.
